Unit Definition

One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme required to convert 1μg of Form I to Form II pGEM®-9Zf(–) DNA in 30 minutes at 37°C. The reaction conditions are 50mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5 at 25°C), 50mM NaCl, 0.1mM EDTA, 1mM DTT, 1μg of supercoiled pGEM®-9Zf(–) DNA and 20% glycerol.
