Course Content
This class is a one-day overview of Molecular Biology basics. Course topics include: DNA/RNA isolation, PCR, molecular cloning, gene expression, and methods troubleshooting. Hands-on experience in the laboratory reinforces knowledge gained in lecture and discussion.

Lectures Laboratory
Nucleic acid isolation DNA isolation from cells; manual or automated
Nucleic acid analysis Visualize DNA using gel electrophoresis
Molecular cloning rDNA technologies using bioluminescence
Gene expression Protein expression and functionality
Troubleshooting
