Danielle J. Brownell

Danielle BrownellDanielle joined Promega in August of 2009 as a Forensic Regional Account Manager. In this role, Danielle provides technical and sales support to government and private forensic laboratories, as well as paternity-testing laboratories, located in the northeastern region of the United States, including Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.

Danielle received a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology, summa cum laude, from the State University of New York at Albany in 2000 and a Master of Business Administration from the same in 2005. Her professional background includes nine years of forensic DNA laboratory experience, both analytical and managerial, with the New York State Police.

When not at work, Danielle enjoys running, vacations at the beach and spending time with family and friends.

Willem van Loon

Willem van LoonWillem van Loon joined Promega in 2001 as Automated Solutions Specialist, Europe, and was responsible for implementing robotic scripts to automate life science applications using Promega reagents. Throughout the years, his territory expanded to include Promega customers in Eastern Europe and the Middle East. In April of 2009, Willem joined the Genetic Identity Europe team. In his new position, Willem will continue to support general automation projects and help with demonstrations and installations of Plexor® HY and PowerPlex® Systems.

Willem graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Computer Science from The Hague Technical College. After graduation he worked at the Dutch Forensic Institute for about one year, followed by four years in the Department of Human Genetics at Leiden University building the Leiden YAC Screening Facility. Willem then spent seven years at Beckman Instruments, later Beckman Coulter, as Sales Specialist, then Product Manager of Robotics and Capillary Electrophoresis.

When not traveling for work, Willem enjoys speed skating and skiing during the winter and time at the beach, surfing and sailing in the summer. His favorite places, amongst others, are the Swiss Alps, Scheveningen and the Privium Lounge at Schiphol Airport.
