Human Cell Line Misidentification

Genomics

Tuesday, August 13, 2013

Presented by: Yvonne A. Reid, Ph.D. and Douglas R. Storts, Ph.D

This misidentification of human cell lines in research labs is a significant problem that may be costing the scientific community millions of dollars annually. This webinar will cover the new cell line authentication standards and provide an overview of the different options available for authenticating human cell lines.

GeneMarker® HID Expert System Human Identification Software with Linked Post-Identification Database Search, Kinship, and DNA Mixture Applications

Genetic Identity

Wednesday, July 24, 2013

Teresa Snyder-Leiby, Ph.D.

GeneMarker HID is expert system human identity software, compatible with human identity chemistries, capillary electrophoresis and rapid instrument output, Windows XP, 7 and 8 OS. The program contains a streamlined analysis workflow to determine STR profiles with linked post-genotyping applications: database search capabilities, kinship, paternity and mixture analysis.

How to Identify Physiologically Relevant Protein Interactions Using Covalent-Capture HaloTag(R) Technology

Proteomics

Tuesday, July 16, 2013

Rob Chumanov, PhD.

This webinar will describe how to use HaloTag(R) technology to capture and characterize intracellular protein:protein interactions at endogenous expression levels. Specific advantages of the covalent capture with HaloTag(R) will be compared and contrasted to the traditional protein fusion tags including FLAG, His, and GST.

Reliable Purification of Amplifiable DNA from FFPE Using the Maxwell(R) CSC Instrument

MDx

Tuesday, June 25, 2013

Douglas Horejsh, Ph.D.

Available only in the US - FFPE samples are an important starting material for clinical molecular oncology and research laboratories. Typical in-line measures of DNA eluate quantity/quality including absorbance, fluorescent dye binding, and inhibition assays may fail to predict downstream amplification success. Promega recently developed a new FFPE DNA purification kit, which optimizes the recovery of amplifiable DNA, in using the IVD-labeled Maxwell(R) CSC instrument.
